Careers & Education

Iowa Newspaper Association members have access to dozens of experts across all areas of the news business through webinars, workshops, and events supported by the Iowa Newspaper Foundation.

Online Media Campus, a partnership of the Iowa Newspaper Foundation and press associations throughout the United States and Canada, provides high-quality, affordable online training to media professionals at every stage of their career.

The Foundation also underwrites the annual INA Convention, a one-day gathering that brings together approximately 400 Iowa newspaper professionals and college students for a full day of education, connection, and industry conversation. Through training webinars, workshops, and community events, the Foundation continues to invest in the people and organizations that keep local news strong across Iowa.

From high school students discovering journalism for the first time to seasoned professionals sharpening their leadership skills, the Foundation has programs for every stage of the journey. Media Now is a four-day, hands-on camp experience for students entering 9th through 12th grade, combining field trips, real-world projects, and the kind of newsroom energy that turns curiosity into a calling. The Mores Media Fellowship is a two-day leadership program for working newspaper professionals, building the network of current and future industry leaders who can navigate and respond to the challenges shaping local news today.
