Professional background:
Tipton native; graduate of Buena Vista University; Monticello (Minn.) Times for five years (editor for 3 years). Tipton Conservative publisher/owner Stuart Clark and Krob became business partners in 2001 to purchase the West Branch Times, and followed that with other purchases as we were approached by owners of nearby newspapers. In second year as member of the Mount Vernon Bank & Trust Company board of directors. Co-owner of a seven-unit apartment building in Mount Vernon (it served as the town's first hotel, and was a prep school for Cornell College).

Krob and wife, Niki, live in Mount Vernon. They have seven children -- Eli, 13; Ella, 10; Sonny, 21; Cooper, 7; Greyson, 5; Beckett, 4; Declan, 2.

Off-the-job interests:
Kids! Wrestling fan. Theater supporter. Aggressively supporting the local economy/shop local effort.
